Are you ready for Volume 5 next week?? I sure am! I’ve got a great series lined up for all of you—free and paid subscribers alike!—but in the meantime, I did promise an article on how Artificial Intelligence could be a major boon for game developers. And that is precisely what I will deliver today.
A few weeks ago, I talked about why generative AI tools like ChatGPT and Stable Diffusion are not going to replace human workers anytime soon. Now, I want to talk about how AI could help more video game developers—particularly indie developers—to finally realize their creative visions.

So, for this exercise, we’ll go through Ideation, Narrative, Art, and Programming. There is SO MUCH MORE that goes into game development, but in the interest of time and space, we’ll stick to those four. Scope creep is a hell of a thing, you know.
